Spirii is a young, innovative Danish company headquartered in Copenhagen. Here, they develop charging solutions for electric cars and have a goal of making it easier for everyone to switch to electric cars.
The company is growing rapidly and has employed 48 employees with international experience from the electric car and charging industry since its inception in 2019. Spirii operates in several European countries including the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and the UK.
In 2019, Spirii became a customer of Three in Denmark and in 2021 they got an IoT solution. Here, Three delivers SIM cards to their charging stations through Cisco's platform, which is recognised worldwide. This means they can monitor each charging station and troubleshoot directly from a control centre.
According to Torben Fog, COO of Spirii, the company's overriding advantage is that they deliver everything from charging stations to installation, services, invoicing, etc. to their customers. The customer thus always gets the best solution, and it is also cheaper than other competitors.
"IoT is the pivot point of our company. We chose Three because we both share a passion for IoT, and the flexibility they offer is fantastic. We are on a growth adventure, and we are happy that Three is on board," says Torben Fog, COO at Spirii.
With the goal of delivering 20,000 charging stations with SIM cards to Spirii's European setup in 2022 and 50,000 in 2023, the company is very busy. In addition to charging stations, Spirii has developed the Spirii Go app, which makes it easy for customers to access a European roaming network where they can charge in Denmark and the rest of Europe.

"We have chosen to have roaming agreements throughout Europe so that we can create the best charging experience for our customers. This way, the customer can use the app to access all kinds of charging stations in Europe in addition to Spirii's own. We believe this creates security and the best service for the customers ," explains Torben.
The future for Spirii looks pretty green when you consider their goals and work. And here it is connectivity and IoT that will move the budding company forward. 3 Group Solutions is on board the journey, and Torben is happy about that. He sees potential for much more than cars.
